Project Objectives:

Long-term Objectives: Increase access to sexual and reproductive health services and information in Ecuador through innovative activities that reject the status quo and generate fundamental change in the provision of sexual and reproductive services.

Medium-term Objectives:

1. Increase the number of women and adolescents with knowledge of sexual and reproductive rights, alongside generating growth in the use of contraceptive methods in the Eloy Alfaro Canton in the province of Esmeraldas and the Roldós and Pisulí sectors in North-West Quito.
2. Strengthen the technical capacity and political incidence of facilitators in decision-making spaces and local community networks for the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights in the Eloy Alfaro Canton in the province of Esmeraldas and the Roldós and Pisulí sectors in North-West Quito.
3. Strengthen the institutional capacity of CEDEAL for the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights of women, men and youths.

Short-term Objectives:

1. Increase overall community knowledge regarding sexual and reproductive rights through the training of 30 facilitators comprised of women and adolescents from rural and marginalized urban areas.
2. Spread information regarding sexual and reproductive health to 600 people from the communities of Eloy Alfaro and Quito in order to generate fundamental change in behavior and attitudes.
3. Establish community distribution points for the supply of materials relating to sexual and reproductive health to women, men and youths.
4. Lobby for new public policy strategies with reference to sexual and reproductive rights.
5. Strengthen the institutional capacity of CEDEAL for the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights.
